Terms of sale

Last updated 19 October 2026

These terms apply when you buy from this site. Please read them before you order. Our delivery, returns and privacy pages form part of them.

1. Who you are buying from

Fragrance Quarter is a trading name of MARTZEY LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 14466643.

MARTZEY LTD
739 Scott Hall Road
Leeds LS17 5PG
United Kingdom

VAT registration number: [TO CONFIRM: VAT registration number]. Contact us at [TO CONFIRM: customer service email address].

2. Placing an order

Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is made when we email you to confirm that your order has been dispatched. If we cannot supply something — it has sold out, or we cannot take payment — we will tell you and refund anything you have paid for it. We do not have to accept every order.

You must be at least 18 years old to order, and the delivery address must be in the United Kingdom.

3. Prices and VAT

Every price shown includes UK VAT at the standard rate of 20% and is in pounds sterling. Delivery is charged as set out on the delivery page and shown in your basket before you pay. There is nothing else to add at checkout.

We try to keep prices right. If a price is obviously wrong and we spot it before dispatch, we will contact you to ask whether you want to continue at the correct price or cancel, and we will not simply charge you the higher amount.

4. Payment

Payment is taken at the time of ordering by Stripe, our payment processor. Your card details are entered on Stripe’s own payment page and are handled by Stripe — we never see or hold your full card number. See privacy for what that means for your data.

5. The products

Fragrance is supplied as it comes from the manufacturer. Houses reformulate, repackage and change batch to batch, and bottles, boxes and cap finishes vary over time, so what arrives may differ in small ways from the photograph. Where a product has no photograph on the site, the description is what we are selling to.

Scent is also subjective, and how a fragrance performs varies from person to person. Notes, families and longevity on this site are a description, not a promise about how it will smell or last on you.

Brand names and trade marks belong to their owners. We use them to describe the goods we sell, and that use does not imply any endorsement or that we are an authorised dealer of that house.

Fragrance contains allergens, is flammable, and is for external use on skin only. Keep it away from flame, heat and children, and check the packaging if you have sensitive skin. Stop using it if you react.

6. Your rights if something is wrong

You have a legal right to cancel most online orders within 14 days of receiving them, and separate rights if goods are faulty or not as described. Both are set out on the returns and cancellation page, including the hygiene exception for sealed fragrance that has been opened. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights.

7. Our liability to you

We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. That includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, for breach of your statutory rights in the goods, and for defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987.

Beyond that, we are responsible for loss that is a foreseeable result of our breaking this contract. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, nor for business losses: we sell to consumers, and if you buy for a business purpose we have no liability to you for loss of profit, business, or goodwill.

8. Complaints

Email [TO CONFIRM: customer service email address] and we will look into it. Please include your order number.

[TO CONFIRM: whether MARTZEY LTD subscribes to an alternative dispute resolution scheme, and if so which one. If it does not, say so here.]

9. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published on this site when you placed it, so the date at the top is worth noting.

10. Law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and claims may be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in the courts there.

If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest of them continue to apply.
